As you all know, Paris Haute Couture Week was held last week, and I’ve been spending whatever time I get obsessing over all the collections. Since the Cathy Horyn article, many have been talking about the future and possible death of couture, which is really sad. Often, when I’m checking out ready to wear, I somehow get sidetracked and end up in couture, and, well, end up staying there! From the decadent, truly one-of-a-kind gowns to the larger-than-life hair and makeup, it all just takes you to a world of fantasy. And caught up in all that fantasy, I often imagine how gorgeous I’d look flouncing around in an Elie Saab or a Zuhair Murad. Oh and I also end up sending pictures of the dresses to my boyfriend, who by now is fine-tuned to reply back with an “Oh, you would look like an angel/princess in this,” every time he gets such weirdo emails from me! 😉
Along with Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad, who are clearly the obvious choice, here are some of my favorites from Fall 2010 Couture Week. It was truly a daunting task to pick from so many exquisite pieces, but I managed to pick ten of my favorite ones. Take a look!

Clockwise: Givenchy, Christian Dior, Elie Saab, Zuhair Murad, Valentino, Christian Dior, Zuhair Murad, Elie Saab, Armani Privé, Valentino
Which ones are your dreams made of and which ones would you like to see on the red carpet? Would love to hear back from you, lovelies!
