Well, well, well, exciting times ahead! As you all know, Spring 2015 Couture Week just wrapped up a little over a week ago, and with Oscars right around the corner, I’m eagerly waiting to see some of the dresses from this year’s show on the red carpet. Overall, my favorite collections were from Jean Paul Gaultier and Armani, but you can scroll down to see [Read more…]

Love the sheer panels on both of the Dior gowns. The yellow one, especially, would be a treat to watch because of the unique asymmetrical structure of the dress. I noticed, as I was going through all the collections, that I’m just generally being drawn to the color yellow for some reason! I also want to see more celebrities experiment with pants/jumpsuits this year; they offer such a fresh take on red carpet fashion. The pink tapered pants with lace and organza blouse by Alexis Mabille is a total stunner and would make for a great choice.
What were your favorite collections from the Spring 2013 couture shows?

Best of Fall 2012 Haute Couture
A few of my picks from the Haute Couture Fall 2012 runway that I hope to see on the red carpet.
Elie Saab Fall 2012 Couture

1 & 2: These dresses are undoubtedly my favorite from all the shows. And of course they had to be from Elie Saab! If the fashion Gods (yes, they read my blog!) are to grant me one wish from this list, I hope they pick between these two. The lace with the sequins and beading is absolutely breathtaking!

3: The peachy color of this dress is so refreshing, and the gold work ensures that the gown won’t look dull on the red carpet. I think someone like Mila Kunis, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, or the Duchess of Cambridge would look lovely in this.
4: I like how the front of this dress is grey and the back is red. It’s fun!
Christian Dior Fall 2012 Couture
5: This fuchsia dress would be such a pretty shade on Natalie Portman, and the style is so her as well!
6: I would like to see this mid-length dress on someone tall like Katie Holmes or someone with short hair like Anne Hathaway, or Michelle Williams. Rachel Bilson and Rachel McAdams would look ultra chic in it too.
Giambattista Valli Fall 2012 Couture
7: Very Emma Stone, no?
8: I love the subtle purple accents against the green on this dress, but the print could look a little overwhelming. I hope to see this at least in an editorial, if not on the red carpet.
Zuhair Murad Fall 2012 Couture
9 & 10: These would look really pretty on Olivia Palermo, Freida Pinto, Zoe Saldana, or Zooey Deschanel. Also, I would like to see Keira Knightley attempt this style again; her shoes were a little bit of a letdown the last time around.

11: Can you think of celebs who can pull this off with class? Diane Kruger, Beyonce, and Rihanna come to mind!
12: I want to see this on Aishwarya Rai. The color and silhouette would look great on her, although I’m not sure that she would go for such a low neckline. Eva Longoria would look nice in it too.
So that’s about it! I noticed that I’ve finally warmed up to long sleeves, because I usually tilt towards sleeveless or strapless when it comes to dresses.
Anyway, which one of these do you think is most likely to be worn on the red carpet? Write back with thoughts!
Kisses,
SK
