Hey, everyone!! Did you all have a good Diwali? I was in one of my bipolar moods – excited about decorating/lighting up my house and eating lots of mithai, and also sad because my boyfriend was going back to Delhi on the same day! We are so sick of our reunion and separation and hello and goodbyes that we almost eloped to Las Vegas. Of course, I’m kidding! :P

Anyhow, I’m not complaining; I had such a wonderful week with him. It was like a dream come true! New York is such a beautiful place to be in love. Actually, on second thought, when you’re in love every place seems beautiful, no? But then there is something very romantic about New York. I came here two years ago, and ever since then every place that I have visited, every little nook and corner that I’ve loved, I have wanted to share it with him. I have imagined how different it would have been if he were there; how much more beautiful, how much more special. I’m so happy his visit FINALLY worked out; I was starting to lose hope!

We spent a lovely week together and did all the corny things couples do —took a stroll in Central Park, shared extra large desserts (fine! I ate the whole thing! :P ), napped out in the sun, sang loudly out of sync and tune, laughed hysterically and even fought hysterically – it was all just perfect! Reminded me of this song below…and incidentally this song is shot in NYC too! :P

Okay so I know that was pretty corny, but didn’t I tell you I was very filmy? ;) I love Karan Johar and his depiction of love; he should really direct more movies!!

Anyway, here are a few pictures of the week that was!

Great view from Fort Tyron Park

Love how the leaves came out in this picture!

Lovely message, eh? They should have this sign everywhere!!

That’s all for now. Hope you enjoyed the pics! I also wanted to thank everyone for being super patient with me the past 2 months; I have been so bad at updating this blog! I’ll try not to disappear on you guys again and be more regular.

xoxo,

SK
