I just love creativity and people who can think out of the box – it’s such an admirable quality to have. Sometimes I wish I could get into their heads and know exactly what they were thinking when they came up with something so unique. I was just telling my newest email pal, Swati (love how many new people you meet via blogging!) about how I wish I could take some time off to do something creative. My creativity, however, is only limited to writing poems/short stories or sometimes, cooking! I really wish I could paint or do ceramics or something, but I’m just not very talented in that arena. I used to get in trouble with my Art teacher, back in high school, all the time. Once, sometime around Halloween, we were asked to make pumpkins out of clay and she actually told me that even kindergartners did a better job than me! Yup, real good times!! 😉
Anyway, this post isn’t even about me. It’s about the work of a super creative University of Utah student, Judson Jennings, who’s managed to find a one of a kind way to put forks and spoons to use. It’s called Forked Up Art and it’s sold on Etsy; which by the way is fast becoming one of my favorite online shopping sites. Anyways, I’m not going to spoil it by telling you what it is; just take a look!

In Numerical Order: Roses are Red – Fork Head, Salt n’ Pepper Shaker Holder- Fork Head, Peace Mini Spoon Head, The iSpoon Landscape- iPhone Stand, Business Card Holder – Spoon Head, Will You Marry Me – Spoon Ring Holder
How freakin’ outlandish are these? The more I see, the more I fall in love. My mom would love these and my best-est friend, Nitin, who’s currently in New Zealand, studying to be a chef, will definitely go berserk when he sees them! But these quirky stands/holders aren’t just for foodies, chefs or moms! The Peace mini spoon head and the business card holder would look great on your office desk and possibly even remind you to smile every once in a while; because you know how we’re all grumpy at work! And just imagine the Will You Marry Me spoon ring holder right next to your kitchen sink. You would never misplace your ring while doing the dishes again!
If you’re obsessed with these stands like me and want to take a look or purchase them, click here. They would make for some great gifts for your friends. At less than $30 a piece it’s all immensely affordable. And come on, who wouldn’t giggle after seeing these?
Kisses,
