In the crowd of Twitter applications out there, which application is the grooviest one of all? For Windows users, I’d have to say – Seesmic Look. Obviously, I am going to recommend you to use it at least one. But with a word of caution – You’ll fall in love with it!

It is the slick user interface (UI) of Seesmic Look that gives it an overtly sexy feel. Trust me, I have used all Twitter applications coming my way since the past couple of years now, and this one has the most stylish way of treating everything that a user does. Be it typing a tweet or replying to someone – you have to love the unobtrusive, readable, and translucent character count. Your Timeline appears under the Social tab. Gotta love the Speech Bubble like ‘tweet-meant.’

I love the ‘Interest’ tab in particular. It lists some of the most popular interest areas viz. News, Sports, Entertainment, Celebrity, Music, Tech, etc. Let us go one level deeper and click on Celebrity. What do we have there? On the Timeline it shows the latest tweets of some of the most popular celebrities on Twitter; these celebrities are now displayed as a list, in place of the original Interests list. You can then click on any of the celebrities handle to view his/her timeline. Best part? I am not following ANY of these celebrities to see what they are tweeting about. The same logic applies to all other twitter handles in all other Interest areas. Another cool part – you can click on any tweet that appears on the timeline, at any point in time, and instantly Retweet it, Reply to it, Mention it, Favorite it, and so on by using the handy buttons on the right panel.

I’ve tried my best to make sense above. But, there are other Tabs like Trends, Favorites, Channels, and Search that one has to check out. To sum it all up together, Seesmic Look is something one needs to experience to actually know what it is about. And sweet (and powerful) is what it is! Like the makers say, Seesmic Look is a unique way to immerse yourself in the real-time web.

Cheers,

The Frugalist
