Splurgerina’s Top 6 Blog Posts

Let’s go down memory lane, shall we? I have been blogging for a while now, albeit with breaks, so I thought it would be fun to share some of the most popular posts on this website. Here are the top six posts, in reverse order, as of today:

6) Heart-Shaped Sunglasses— The Cutest Sunglasses Ever!

I LOVE these sunglasses, but when I wrote this post, I wasn’t sure if other girls in their 20s would love them as much as I do! Most of the visitors on this blog are well out of there cute teenage phase, and let’s just face it, these sunglasses are a little silly and childish. But going by the popularity of the post, it’s good to know that no matter how old we are, we women still have a fun little child within us.

5) Guide to Gorgeousness

Those slight changes in my fashion and beauty routine that make all the difference and leave me feeling confident and beautiful. What works for you?

4) Work That Velvet!

I am still not too crazy about velvet, prefering it in low doses, but revisiting this post is inspiring me to take a leaf out of Roberto Cavalli’s book and pair sheer fabrics with velvet during the slightly cooler months.

3) Game For Women’s Brogues?

I honestly never thought that I would ever want these, but after seeing the Candela mesh lace oxfords (shown above), I realized that it’s possible to find a place for them in a girly girl’s wardrobe as well. Every now and then I come across a pair of brogues/oxfords with a feminine touch, and my love for these shoes revives.

2) Sprucing Up the 1950s Ladylike Style for Now!

I am surprised that this post did so well, but it looks like we all love our vintage influences! I don’t have a lot of mid-length skirts and dresses in my closet since they are hard to find, but they are so flattering and I feel so classy every time I wear them. And with celebrities like Diane Kruger and Rose Byrne being spotted in them recently, we know that this trend isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

1) Where Size Zero Is UGLY!

A Girl From The Himba Tribe

Probably the only place in the world where men won’t dread the “Am I looking fat?” question. As they say, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.
