When it comes to accessorizing, I’m more of a dainty jewelry person than someone who likes to layer bold, statement pieces. At max, I go for one statement piece in an outfit. But what I do love is an offbeat design—so that even when I am wearing minimal jewelry, it stands out. I’ve always had a soft spot for animal and bird motifs, so it’s surprising that it’s taken this long for insect jewelry to make its way into my life. It’s been a recurring trend on the runway, having been spotted in shows like Lanvin, Vera Wang, and Roberto Cavalli, but I have been looking for a more delicate and feminine interpretation of the trend. Think: More pretty, less creepy! It’s been tough trying to find such designs in real life, but online, Etsy has some fabulous options. Below are a few of them that I really like.
Gemstone Necklace // Drop Earrings // Collar Brooch // Stud Earrings // Wasp Necklace
Beads Bracelet // Hair Comb // Beetle Ring // Bangle // Dragonfly Ring
