A round-up of my favorite looks this week
WHO, WHAT, WHERE: Nicole Kidman in a floral Jean Paul Gaultier Couture gown at the Grammy Awards 2011 in LA.
WHY: I can’t remember the last time I was wooed by a Nicole Kidman look, so this came as a huge surprise. It was without a doubt one of my favorite looks from that night. I think I’ve said this before, but I don’t really like a mermaid silhouette, but Nicole Kidman made it work thanks to her tall, statuesque figure. The dress in itself is very beautiful, with its floral print, ruffles and an amazing color palette of beige/olive with hints of maroon. The waves in her hair were ultra glamorous and I can make my peace with the fact that she went low key with the accessories, but I would have really liked to see some more makeup via a darker lip color. What say you?
WHO, WHAT, WHERE: Rihanna in a floral black Christian Dior Couture gown while performing at the Grammy Awards 2011 in LA.
WHY: So, I’ve got to admit I get verrrry excited when I see celebs wear my favorite haute couture dresses, and I’m kind of really in love with Rihanna right now for making two of my couture wishes come true (here’s the first!). This dress is just spectacular— a black ball gown with an incredible yellow petal print design and loads of tulle on the skirt? Now we’re talking, baby! And it looks even more dramatic on stage. Love her hair and makeup too; the shade of her hair and lips gel so well with the dress. She’s so fierce!

Agreed, Rihanna looks stunning! I so love ball gowns and the tulle cannot be ignored. Do not like Nicole’s look that much maybe because of the leg cinching thing
happening there is a bit difficult for me to understand.
