One of the top items on my “most coveted” list for spring is a lace blazer and/or jacket. Just when you thought I couldn’t possibly do more posts on lace, huh?!? While I can safely say that I now have a surplus of lace tops, skirts, and dresses in my closet, the idea of owning a lace blazer or jacket didn’t really occur or appeal to me until recently. They are such a beautiful, feminine twist to a classic, and are quite a refreshing change if you already own a ton of blazers/jackets in a variety of different colors. They are usually lightweight and can easily be thrown over an outfit during those slightly chilly spring/summer days. I went hunting for them online and mostly saw them in black and white, but hopefully as it starts to get warmer (anytime now! 😐 ) we will start seeing them in more fun colors. I can’t wait to get my hands on a nude/blush pink one!

In Numerical Order: Oasis Lace Jacket, ModCloth Lace the Morning Blazer, River Island 3D Lace Bed Jacket, DKNYC Lace Blazer, Rory Beca Sofia Lace Blazer, Topshop Apricot Lace Embroidered Crop Jacket
The easiest and safest way to wear a lace blazer or jacket is to pair it with an outfit in a solid color; play with different textures to keep things interesting. But if you’re the experimental kinds, go ahead and wear it with prints. If your blazer has a lot of intricate detailing though, just remember to keep the printed item limited to one (either your top or the bottom) to keep the outfit from looking too busy or overwhelming.
Wear your lace jacket with boyfriend jeans or leather shorts, a tank, and a hot pair of heels for an androgynous effect. Conversely, if you’re a girly girl, pair your jacket with more feminine clothing and details – for example, pair a structured cropped lace jacket with a cotton, pleated full skirt or team a lace blazer with high-waisted scalloped shorts. Team lace with flowy, chiffon/sheer fabrics or even more lace! After all, this season is all about being ladylike and embracing your feminine side!

P.S. – Apologies for my erratic commenting over at some of your blogs. I’m planning a move to Delhi this summer and therefore, have been keeping extremely busy trying to wind everything up from here. I’ve been debating turning off my comments for the next few months. But then I thought it wouldn’t be fair to people who would still like to comment, especially the non-bloggers who visit my blog. So, I’m leaving them open.
This is just FYI; I’m not disappearing and will definitely come visit your blogs whenever I feel that I can make some time for some quality commenting. Meanwhile, I’ll definitely miss being a regular part of your blogging world. 🙁
I will probably see you in Delhi then? 🙂 It's a huge change!!! Good Luck girl!
