Pink was my color for a very, very long time; up until college I think, if I had the option of getting something in pink, I’d get it! Then, one day, I opened my closet and all I could find was pink (seriously, even my shoes and socks!), and decided it was time to boycott pink from my life. I did really well for myself the past 4-5 years, but now pink fever is back again, and it’s back with a vengeance! My wardrobe is craving for it, and every time I go shopping, vibrant fuchsias (carried over from here), refreshing corals, and honeysuckle have been getting my top-most attention.

In Numerical Order: ASOS Scalloped Hem Shorts, Forever 21 Beach Bonfire Earrings, Zara Coloured Tights, Mango Dress RSD ROD, Zara Narrow Leg Studio Trousers, Topshop Berry Split Sleeve Blouse, Steve Madden Haylow, River Island Cross Body Buckle Satchel, ASOS Suede Color Block Belt, Modcloth Gelateria Romper

These particular shades of bright pink can be paired with your obvious blacks, whites, blues, browns (especially love how it looks with camel!), and grays for a conservative look. However, I’m also really looking forward to, and highly recommend, pairing them up with reds/maroons (as seen here), turquoise, cerulean, and violets as well as lemony yellows and olives for a more dramatic, playful approach. If you’re not into color blocking entire outfits, try creating a subtle contrast with shoes and other accessories or with a lip color or nail paint.

It’s the perfect summery color, and brightens up/compliments a variety of skin tones. And something tells me, by the end of summer, I’m going to have it in plenty. Welcome back, pink wardrobe! ;)

What colors have you been lusting after lately?

xoxo,

SK
