I never thought I would have to worry about dark circles or eye puffiness at this age but all that time on the computer, along with late nights, was really taking a toll on my eyes. I was so worried about it, especially because my mom has a chronic case of dark circles and under-eye bags. This stuff is supposed to be hereditary!
Incidentally, while I was trying my luck with home remedies like cucumber slices and tea bags (didn’t work!), Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller was being advertised a lot. It’s only $13, so I decided to give it a shot before moving on to more expensive products.
To tell you the truth, I wasn’t expecting any kind of miracle to happen, but this product pleasantly surprised me. It’s a light, oil-free gel, which leaves a cooling sensation when used and the metal massaging roller stimulates circulation around the eye. The caffeine relieves puffiness and diminishes dark circles, while pro-vitamin B5 refreshes and hydrates the delicate eye area. The instructions on the box suggested I use the product during the day, but I figured it didn’t make sense to use it then, since I would be working on my laptop the whole day. Instead, I used it religiously every night, just before going to bed. And I noticed a difference in less than a week! The dark circles had become a lot lighter and the puffiness had vanished completely. By the second week, even the dark circles disappeared. In fact, I don’t even have to use it every night anymore. I just dab some on when I anticipate having a long day or when I’m sleep deprived, so I can prevent dark circles from showing up again.
I thought that this product was just working exceptionally well on me, considering my case wasn’t all that bad, so I decided to test it on my mom. Although, she didn’t get the kind of result that I did, it somewhat worked on her. In about 2 weeks, the darkness under her eye had diminished considerably, and even though she still had eye bags, they were getting better by the day. She loved this gel so much that she went and got herself one too.
So, here’s the final verdict. If you’re just starting to see signs of dark circles, puffiness or eye bags, I can’t vouch for this product more. It’s one the cheapest eye care products out in the market, and works exceptionally well. For people with a more chronic case, however, I suggest using this gel several times during the day, alongside a good eye moisturizer, like the Clinique All About Eyes, for the night.
Try it and let me know if it worked for you. And remember to be patient. No product, no matter what they claim, works instantly.
XOXO,
