Biotique Flawless Skin Regimen
Biotique is like one of those old jewels that you find in your grandmother’s closet. They might seem like done and dusted pieces but are actually timeless and absolutely pure. Biotique products resonate the same feeling in my heart. Their products are made with ayurvedic recipes and are preservative free, so they are highly recommended for anyone who is looking for natural products. I have tried a number of products from Biotique, with the green apple shampoo & conditioner being a favorite as it cleanses hair really well and the fragrance is just to die for. Recently, I got my hands on three new products that are part of Biotique’s daily care regimen that focuses on keeping your skin fresh, hydrated, and flawless—the Bio Morning Nectar Flawless face wash, the Bio Morning Nectar Flawless Skin lotion, and the Bio Papaya Revitalizing Tan Removal scrub. Here’s what I thought of the products:
Bio Morning Nectar Flawless Face Wash

Made with honey, coconut oil, moong seed, and margosa leaf extract (neem), this face wash has all those tried and trusted natural ingredients that your mom always told you would give you beautiful skin. It feels more like a cleanser than a face wash since it’s cream-based. However, it’s consistency is runny, like a liquid soap, and it lathers up really well; a pea-sized amount is good enough to clean the entire face. It feels really gentle and has a slight, cooling effect when in contact with the skin. I was a bit reluctant to use this product since I have really sensitive, acne-prone skin with an oily t-zone and usually stick to gel-based products for my face, but this doesn’t irritate my skin one bit and leaves it feeling squeaky clean. If I’m indoors, my t-zone doesn’t feel greasy for at least the next 5-6 hours.
When I used the product for the first time, I thought I should skip using a moisturizer since the cleanser is creamy and would end up making my skin really oily. To my surprise, my cheeks actually felt a little dry afterwards, so if you have combination skin like mine, you will need to use a light moisturizer after washing your face. Although the product claims that it’s suitable for all skin types, I think it might not provide enough moisture for people with dry skin. The only thing I don’t like about this face wash is it’s fragrance, which is sort of strong, musky, and herbal. Other than that, this face wash is an amazing mild, yet effective organic cleanser that rejuvenates your skin and leaves it feeling soft and fresh.
Bio Morning Nectar Flawless Skin Lotion

As someone with an oily face, my natural instinct is to avoid lotions at all cost. Since this lotion is ayurvedic and is made with “100% botanical extracts“, however, I decided to give it a shot. Just like the Bio Morning Nectar face wash, this lotion also claims to be suitable for all skin types, and you are advised to apply it on your face and neck three times a day. The moisturizer is milky white in color and has a medium consistency, so a really tiny amount is adequate to hydrate your skin. The good part is that it absorbs quite easily and instantly nourishes and brightens the skin. It also doesn’t cause irritation or make your face break out. The bad news is that it has the same overpowering musky scent that the Bio Morning Nectar face wash has, which I’m not a fan of.
As expected, it did make my skin slightly greasy, so I didn’t find the need to apply it more than once a day. It’s an excellent fit for people with dry skin to use all year round, but for those with oily/combination skin, it might only work during the winter. Right now, I have been using it as a body lotion after a shower, and I’m quite happy with the results. I also often apply it after shaving my legs and it replenishes lost moisture, really helps in soothing my skin, and keeps my legs feeling baby soft all day long.
Bio Papaya Revitalizing Tan Removal Scrub

This is undoubtedly my favorite product from the range, and finally, we’ve got something that even smells amazing! This scrub is different from any scrub that I have used before and almost looks like a mud pack (very tempted to use it as a face mask, especially since it also feels cool on the skin!). It’s grayish beige in color, has a super thick consistency, and smells like a mixture of papaya and wet clay. I find it’s fruity yet earthy fragrance to be quite pleasing! Usually, my face doesn’t react well to scrubs and leaves it looking really red, but this particular scrub is really gentle and its creamy texture really agrees with my skin. One of the reasons why this scrub might not be as harsh as the other products in the market is because it has extremely tiny exfoliating granules that, nevertheless, do a fantastic job of getting rid of skin impurities. It removes dead skin cells effectively, restores the natural brightness of your face, and makes your skin smooth, supple, and blemish-free. I have also used it to exfoliate my legs just before shaving, and it’s great for treating and preventing ingrown hair. I definitely recommend using it before you go in for a hair removal procedure.
