A certified girly girl from India, a shopaholic, a foodie, a gadget lover, and a hard core Bollywood addict. I’m also a diplobrat, which means that I’ve spent most of my life living in different parts of the world, and so far it’s been a really fun ride! I really enjoy moving to a new country every three years, meeting new people, and experiencing different cultures in the process. My current home? NYC baby!
Some random tidbits about me:
- I was born in Germany and have lived in 7 countries in 4 different continents so far. Africa and Australia watch out for me!
- I’m only 5’2. But hey short people are cute, right? Right!
- I can never have enough of shoes and lingerie.
- I was born on June 10th (Geminis Rock! Ophiuchus, screw you!) and share my birthday with Elizabeth Hurley, Princess Madeleine, Shane West, Faith Evans, and the super adorable Sasha Obama. Cool, eh?
- I’ve been on a Facebook hiatus since November 2009. It’s pretty liberating; you should try it too!
- I love using and abusing exclamation marks, ellipses, and hashtags!
- Thoughts on Bollywood: Starstruck by Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, and the love of my life, AKA Shahrukh Khan! Guilty pleasures include youtubing 90s movies & songs, because let’s just face it, they don’t make ‘em like they used to. Seriously guys, what’s this and this? Is this music? #FAIL

Splurgerina is a blog about fashion, lifestyle, and all that’s worthy of a woman’s indulgence. I genuinely believe in every woman’s right to splurge and indulge herself without feeling guilty, hence the name “Splurgerina.”
This blog is a platform for me to share my current obsessions, and at times my arbitrary thoughts and feelings. I like to write about lifestyle and the latest trends in fashion and beauty as and when they start appealing to me; sometimes I like to write opinion pieces (like here and here), and at other times I like to rant about men and being in a long distance relationship with my boyfriend AKA The Frugalist.
